Engarland 2010 - Road Trip - Devon

Only two days in Devon, but two very lovely days! George was over the moon to see farfar Andie again so soon! And even though he was terrified of doggy Stella to begin with, he soon warmed to her and bossed her around like he'd done nohting else... Very funny!

We went down to pretty Lyme Regis and threw stones on the beach and had the obligatory Fish and chips, which were yummy! George and Ursula Granny Devon went looking for fossils on the beach, whilst myself and Matt took a wander through the little town.

On the way home, we stopped at an animal farm, with lots of cute little animals and an amazing amount of different birds! However, George was most impressed with the guinea pigs and the playground...

On Saturday we took a drive through some of the quaint little villages surrounding Honiton, and had a very scrumptious lunch at the gastro pub 'Man in the moon', with amazing views over the valleys! Breathtaking!

We headed back to Ampthill in the late afternoon, and George handled the trip amazingly! No tricks or tantrums, but we did keep him quiet with sweeties... Stockholm detox awaits!

Stopped to see Tom in St Alban on the way back. Lovely to see him! They've just bought a new house, which was really nice and will be a good place for their little family for the next few years!
