Sunny afternoon

It was supposed to be raining today, but we're all in the sunshine on the patio. George sporting his new, very lovely hair cut!

Sending a greeting to Beste

On Wednesday, our beloved Arnfinn would have turned 79 years old, an age he wouldn't have shown, he was such a handsome man and would probably still have passed for a 70-year old...

I was really low the whole morning, and couldn't keep the tears back on the bus to work, as I read mum's greeting to him. The thing is, thinking about him is still so difficult and painful, it's much easier not to, and carry on pretending he's just gone away for a while rather than forever.

Mum is so strong, but was obviously also extra fragile on Wednesday. Luckily, the boys don't take much notice and want to play and be silly as usual. Which makes things easier, and if not, distracts you...

I had to work late so mum was looking after them and when I got back, we li a chinese lantern to send up to Beste, George got really excited seeing it in the sky. It is a lovely little tradition we've created and one I'd like to continue with.

Gathering

Last Sunday, us mummies whi've been meeting up once a week for the past year, gathered at Boobadet together with our other halves and all of the kids. Coffee, cakes and good times!

Midsummer

Last week was midsummer celebrarions. George was finally back frm England and farmor stayed with us for a few days. We were blessed with sunshine, which is fairly unusual for a Swdeish midsummer, but this meant we could eat outside on the new patio (the part that is finished)! It was so lovely to finally use the space! We had breakfast, lunch and dinner out there!

Went to Boobadet in the afternoon to join the celebrations. Met up with a few dagis friends, had some yummy cake and tried to convince G to dance around the mat pole with me... He wasn't too impressed...

Only fir a couple of days, and only to take George to England for a few days, but we still had time for a visit to Söder and Urban Deli, and I had some friends around Friday night to watch the England- Sweden game. Wine, sunshine and good conversation, who cares about the crap score?

Dagisavslutning

So it was time for yet another end-of-year do at dagis. It was Pippi Långstrump theme but Gman wanted to go as a footballer...

Looked hilarious when Billy was amongst the last ones to appear.. pushed in his push chair! Lazy blob ha ha... George and friends had a rose since they are starting at Paddan this autumn, and as per usual, there was a massive cake!

First Euro 2012 games

At Massimo's to watch the first England-France (1-1) and Sweden-Ukraine (1-2) games... Great time even though the Swedish score was rubbish (and of course, the second game against Engalaand was equally bad and that was the end of Sweden).

Mummy's birthday

A little late update, been been busy bees over here... I was woken up by my lovely boys and Matt had prepared a yummy breakfast of pancakes, fresh fruit, bakery bread and coffee.. Mmmm. Had some very nice pressies too!

Went to Djurgården and Rosendahls Trädgård for lunch and met up with Kim, Cissi and Lucas! A lovely day in the sun!
