Cutest Walter!

My dear old friend Johanna, or Joje to me, has gone and had a little Walter! And he's the cutest little ginger top ever! Will be a very cool dude I'm sure! He's got a good set of lungs too, so mummy Johanna has had to practice her patience skills...

George is impressing me every day now with his speaking skills. His latest addition is 'Kom mamma' (Come, mummy), which he uses a lot, together with a goodbye wave (hasn't got the hang of the 'come over here' hand move yet haha). And he still talks about lastbiijar (trucks) and bikes non-stop...

Daddy Matt came back from England this morning and George was very pleased to see him! And lucky us, tonight mormor is looking after G and we're off out for a late dinner at restaurant Kungsholmen!

Two-word George and a poo sausage!

Since Friday last week, George has been amazing and says two or three words at a time! It's so cute and he's such a good boy! He also seem to understand everything completely (well, the things he wants to understand...) and normally answers very seriously yes or no!

Today we spoke to farmor on Skype and George got very excited and started being silly, looked hilarious, such an actor! He tried to feed farmor invisible food through the camera ha ha!

And then, since daddy is in London working, we went to mormor's and will stay here for a couple of nights. G'man was running around without a nappy as he always does when he's here and outside. There was a loud fart and I ran up to him to make sure he wasn't doodling. Nothing. And then, five minutes later, a nice little poo-sausage had appeared on mormor's carpet!!!! Oops! Didn't take a picture to save for his 18th birthday, but it will live in my memory and now also in yours, so let's remind him once in a while haha! It was a good one however, didn't leave a mark or anything!

Peta's Birthday!

Had a lovely day and evening yesterday, celebrating my dear old friend Petra's birthday. George loves 'Peta'! They have a weekend home just outside Stockholm, which is on the waterfront, so George insisted on running down to say hello to the boats every ten minutes (it's true! It got very annoying...)

We went out with Petra's dad on their little day boat, George wasn't too impressed with the massive life west, but soon forgot about it when the boat started!

Skansen with Maja

Yesterday we met up with little Maja and mummy Lena, Maja and George going way back as you all know! Haven't seen each other for ages, and Maja had a bundle of curls and a personality as stubborn as George!

Little Mr G of course went bananas at the sight of all little cars and motorbikes and had to sit on all of them... We went on a very fun 'minikarts' thing (had to go twice cause G & M got very upset when first round was up) and me and Lena enjoyed it just as much as the kiddos! Saw rabbits, goats, pigs, seals, elks and bears, but unfortunately no 'tats' (cats) which was what Maja had been talking about all morning...

As you can see from the photo, Maja isn't very impressed at George attempt of wooing her with a smoochie kiss, and, for the record, he's stood in some sort of a hole, so she hasn't outgrown him haha!

Barbecue at Simon and Amy's

After our very nice time out in London, we headed back North, and met up with everyone at Simon and Amy's (quite new) house in Harpenden. Strange how lovely it is to see your little one even though we've only been apart for a day...

Si and Amy's house was really nice, very them! And little Dylan is a little cutie! Likes to eat and laugh when tickled! Food was very good too, ate like there's no tomorrow!

Bit sad to say goodbye to the Squire sisters, but we had to get back to Ampthill for one last night before going home on the Monday morning. George went straight to bed when we got in and me and Matt collapsed on the sofa!

A very nice ending to a very nice time in England!

Jelena's Wedding Party

We had such a great time! Met up with old missed friends Graham and Sophia who have just moved back to London from NY. It was great catching up over a few drinks. Many more please!

Headed over to Jelena and Adam's wedding party at Host Gallery, just off Old Street, via a drink at SOS, Smithfields Market. Jelena looked ace in her own designed wedding dress! Cool small sized burgers and other nibbles, photographs all over the walls. The cakes (notice plural!) were yummy, Cuban band great and the dj too! Matt couldn't get over how goodlooking Magdalena's new boyfriend was (told both him and her a few times...). Wierd and not very nice 'stylist' friend of Jelena's tried to steal everyone's attention.... Sometime quite late, there were pizzas delivered! Yum yum! And sometime not very long after that, we left, merry and tired.

Stayed the night at Jo's who was (very successfully) babysitting George together with Tim and Laura up in Ampthill. Thought it would be a sleep-like-a-log-night without interruption and a long lie in, but I didn't know Jessie the cat likes to walk around on top of you in the middle of the night and play in the morning...

Didn't matter too much. We both felt well in the morning strangely enough : )) Walked down into Walthamstow village for breakfast, then via Columbia Road Market to Spitafields. Great to be back in London!

Pics are a bit crap, but we looked nice!

Meeting Emelie and baby William

The Gutteridges/Morris' family had a new edition called William a couple of months ago. He is lovely! Emelie showed George all of her things and didn't let him play with anything in true 2-year old fashion! In the end she did realise how much fun it was to let mummy Vicky and mummy Helena run around the garden steering a tricycle each, her and George taking turns in 'chasing one another'...

Favourite Farmor

Farmor Christine is definately the flavor of the month! And then Toby and George had a smackelismack!

England holiday

Me and chimp took off on our own, yesterday, to go and see farmor Christine and grandpa Chris in England. I'd mistaken our flight time, to both mine and Matt's disappointment. Thought we were flying at 11am, meaning George would sleep on the plane... and also meaning that Matt would get a whole day to himself and mates... But the flight was at 3pm... It all worked out well, George slept in the car to the airport instead, and even though I left my wallet at home and thereby me and chimp had to get by on biscuits and apples, thanks to a few songs, a lot of patience and the film Cars on dvd - we landed safe and sound at Stansted. George was a bit cranky in the car since he was quite fed up with sitting still (and probably mega hungry), but as soon as he entered farmors house and spotted the fire truck, all troubles went out the window!

Tired little chappy went to bed one hour after normal bedtime, but still woke up this morning on Swedish time - 5.30 English time...yawn... Spent the day playing, playing, playing. Little cousin Toby came by for a while, and then aunties Laura and Jo and uncle Tim came, and also great grandma Doris and we had a great bbq.

Think G's got another tooth coming, he's been biting his fingers and dribbling waterfalls. Gave him some pain killers early evening and it seemed to work. Fell asleep exhausted from a day of fun!

Midsummer pics

Found these pics from our nice midsummer celebrations at Greg and Lena's. They live in a very cool, new house, about 30 min soutside Stockholm. Lots of sill, potatoes, bbq stuff and Matt's chocolate tarts...

Caribbean hot

This summer must go down as one of the hottest in years! It's boiling and almost impossible to be outside, not to mention inside (our office don't have air-con, but today they brought fans for us all at least!). I know I shouldn't complain, but it's not the same being on a beach somewhere as in town in a air-less flat. Can't wait for the house to be ready where we can just 'spill out' onto the patio or the lawn (Matt's sorted out a GREAT price on 'roll-out' lawn for us by the way!).

Even our old flat would have been great, since the court yard was lovely in the summer! Anyway. At the weekend I had to do something for poor little Mr G who was also melting away... So, went downstairs into the new court yard, his bath tub ready and hey presto! And then Matt came down with Raspberry Mojito's, so life isn't too bad after all!

Big boy!

Every once in a while it strikes me that George is growing up. Fast and furious. It's exciting but also a little sad. Watching him in his push chair the other day, I realised he's a tall dude too! It wasn't long ago that he couldn't reach down with his feet to the foot rest... Soon I will have to approve of girlfriends, but no one will ever be good enough for my little boy hahaha! Christine, my mother-in-law, obviously doesn't feel that way about me...wink wink!
