Playhouse

Since being ill the other week, G-man's bounced back and is as happy and chirpy as ever! You can really tell he's at ease at the moment, nothing seems to be bothering him or making him frustrated! He's just lovely to be around! Fingers crossed he'll stay that way for a while and not enter a new phase before next weekend when we're visiting my brother and George's cousins!

Today me, G and Vanessa went via the house (daddy Matt got off there to work on his Vespa) out to Mia's, my old work mate, who lives in Gustavsberg. Twice a year, the ceramic artists there, open up their studios to the public, and today was one of those days! It was great fun to see such nice creations, and the spaces were very inspiring! Bought a clever looking little candle holder, in the shape of a fuse (såg ut som en gammaldags propp! Hur cool som helst!)... Vanessa bought some bowls, so did Mia, and George was busy running up and down the corridors...

Mia had an old playhouse in the garden which she has now given to George to have in our garden! Great stuff! Really nice and George loved it! And good for small relatives to stay in too, haha! Will pick it up as soon as soon as our house is ready!

Poorly Mr G

G's got a fever. He's been having it on and off for the last couple of days, but last night it got worse, and this morning he was really hot. So, we're at home today and he's already on his first nap. Cutie.

George and Pitta

George spent the day with Petra, alias Pitta, whilst myself and Matt spent the day carrying rubbish at the house. He woke up really early this morning so I told Petra that he'd fall asleep around eleven for definate. She called me aat half past and said he wouldn't stop talking haha! Pointing at everything and telling her what he saw!

And then, coming back, Petra rings us and said they were having such a good time in Vasaparken, would it be ok if they came back to the flat an hour later... Oh yes! No problems! I had a quick nap on the sofa, thanks for that!

He fell asleep before seven tonight, absolutely exhaausted! Will make sure Pitta comes to play more often!

Beachlife!

Back to work last Monday and then summer arrived... Great!

So, took Friday off and me and Matt went to the beach and left George at dagis. Figured he'd have more fun there and it was nice to get some adult time. But then yesterday we thought we'd have a family outing to another beach, Schwiezerbadet. The water is really shallow for a couple of hundred metres as you can see! Had a lovely day there with Maria and Olivia, and a bbq in the evening at Maria's and Andie's, which was also very nice.

This weekend will be a very lovely memory when the dark and winter comes! And next week when work starts properly again...

Chatterbox Mr G

Today they told me that 'he talks a lot' when I picked him up at dagis! Apparently he'd been letting everyone know that 'mamma jobbar' (mummy's working) ha ha

And, whilst reading a ripped-to-pieces-book about diggers this evening, he told me it was 'sönder' (broken)! Didn't know he knew that one. Funny!

Doodle in the potty!

We haven't nagged him to do it, and since he's not very regular with his number two's, we haven't actually tried to introduce it much, but it's been out and about for the last couple of weeks - the potty that is. And he knows what it is for, he likes to sit down on it, fully clothed and pretend he's going to the toilet...

And so this evening, whilst having his dinner, he all of a sudden says 'bajsa'(meaning 'poop'. Sorry all of you out there who don't have children, but this is a big moment!), and I asked if he'd like to sit on the potty? He said yes, so I took off his trousers and nappy and he sat down - and did a poo! Wicked! What a good boy! Afterwards, he stood up and pointed at the result and said 'Poo'!

So now we'll have to tell dagis to listen out if he says it's time... Not that I think he'll be a regular potty visitor just yet, and we won't stress him, but nice to know he knows what it's for!
