Potty training progress

Just to let you all know that George is doing very well indeed with his potty training! I've come up with the cunning plan of letting his cat and rabbit sit on the potty or toilet before him and then he can't wait to have a go! Am I a clever mummy or what! So now we do both big and small in both the potty and the toilet! The trickiest one is the morning visit, since he barely has his eyes open before he wants to have välling, so a potty stop is almost impossible, but with a little help from Mr Cat, he did a big wee-wee whilst I went to fetch the välling, so fingers crossed he wants to keep it up! Still nappies at dagis and nighttime, but we'll keep practising! He is nowhere near dry, but one step at a time, and most mornings the nappy is empty so slowly slowly...

Will update with pics from Berlin and other things shortly!

And tonight, cousin Dylan with mummy Amy and daddy Simon arrives! George is very excited and has promised to let Dylan play with all his toys!

Everything bad is sharp

George has decided that everything bad is sharp. He doesn't want to sit on the toilet 'cause it's sharp. He doesn't want to eat rice 'cause it's sharp, he doesn't want to put on the red jacket 'cause it's sharp...

Lena, Maja's mum, told me that little matey Assar says it's 'spicy' when he doesn't want to do things so I suppose it's just one of those little quirky things kids do...

Copy cat

Cutting potatoes. George was about to cut his potatoes, but they were really hot, so I said:

"Akta dig älskling, det är varmt" (Watch yourself darling it is hot) and took over to help him. And it was hot, which I showed by saying "Ouch"... George then said:
"Akta dig älskling, det är varmt"

hahaha!

Large than life

Matt just sent me this via his phone. It seems that it is only mummy who doesn't want George to have too many sweets in the week. However, I can imagine him behaving like an angel knowing he would be having this one by the end of the boring supermarket shop...

At Maja's new house

Yesterday, me and George went to see old friend Maja in her new house! The house was great! Lovely space and location, just next door to old allotments. I got really jelaous about having the bus stopping literally outside the front door, that would be heaven...

Maja and George got on like a house on fire, as usual, always nice to see and Maja's hair is the cutest cutest cutest!

We also popped across the street (yes, three little families from Lilla Essingen now live on the same street! Jelaous of that too... I think... haha) to see Frida and her family who lives in another very nice little house!

George continued playing silly when we got home... Check out his 'angry face'.... Little trooper fell asleep watching Ice age at 6 o'clock, hadn't slept all day. Woke him up for some välling and a quick chat to Farmor, Grandma Doris, Auntie Jo-Jo and cute Emily on Skype. A lovely Sunday!

Sean's Birthday party!

Sean, the cool little dude, turns 2 years today, and we went to celebrate him on Saturday! Check out the 'King' in his tiara, loving the attention haha! Hi beautiful mum Sara had done the scrummiest cakes, was full up for hours afterwards! Sean's baby brother Leon who looks very much like his daddy, and cute little Stella always enjoys a good party! George was busy playing with all Seans 'man toys' (cars and trucks..) and he also spent a lot of time inside the 'Tipi tent'. Does that mean we have to buy one now?

Days with auntie Jo-Jo

Judging from these photos I think George really enjoyed having Auntie Jo-Jo around to play and be silly with! Oh, and also a picture of Matt's very creative bbq table!
