Tricks!

Right, here are some of Gman's favourite tricks at the moment:

- Climbing up on every single chair in sight and reaching for everything nearby!
- Put on his shoe the other day! Placed in on his little pram, stepped up and held onto the handle and put his foot in! He was very pleased afterwards!
- Shouts 'Boo' every time he sees Frank or Liam! And us too by the way.
- Favourite game 1 is running round the flat, round round through the kitchen and bedroom, shouting and laughing at the same time! We keep running after, shouting and laughing, running past, stopping behind the door... you know... It's hilarious!
- Favourite game 2 is playing on the bed, throwing himself down onto the cushions whilst "oooohing". Then he stands up, laughs at himself and throws himself down again! Theatrical skills I tell you!
- Eating Mariekex (biscuits). He runs out into the kitchen and points at the kitchen counter until one of us goes out to see what he's doing...
- Says "Mamma, Pappa, Tick (should be Tack, means thank you), Bokka (Book), Bo (Ball), Titta (Look), Där (there), and kix (should be kex, means biscuit)! On top of that he talks a lot! Nothing we can understand, but he gives us the look as if we have a complete understanding haha!
- Is very good in helping dressing! Puts his arms out for jumpers, lifts feet for socks, trousers and nappies (and his favourite shoes of course!)
- Eats from his own spoon (can't say he's brilliant at getting anything stuck at the spoon or fork, but sometimes...)
- Drinks from a little glass if he can choose (have to stop him sometimes since he tends to try to down the content every time and if the glass is full...)
- Giving out kisses to every one in the way! The doll in the park house, the random kid in the park house, Frank, Liam, Maja, mormor, morfar, mum, dad... great, when they're not the slobbery ones! And once he's done the first round of kisses, he quickly starts on the second, and the third...

There's more, but need to watch some crap tv now! Below is the triumphant shoe moment, wearing my furr hat (he came into the room wearing it), and kissing Maja goodbye this afternoon (notice that she's up for it too)! Have a nice evening!

'Nanna!'

Hello. Just wanted to share with you how proud we are of our little champ! For a while now, after his evening bottle, when it's getting time for bed, we've started to introduce the word 'Nanna' which is Swedish slang for sleeping (I think, at least, or otherwise have no idea where it comes from haha). And for the last week, when we tell him it's time to Nanna, he points towards the bedroom, brings Nellie and walks up to his bed and stretches his arms, showing he wants us to lift him in! That we do and then he lies down. All we have to do is say 'Goodnight' and walk out! Amazing isn't it!

Cultural Saturday

Yesterday we introduced our son to a bit of culture. We went to the Furniture fair and had a good look around. George spent a lot of his time running around touching things and wanting to climb up into every chair or sofa... Obviously charming everyone, but when we got tired of chasing him, he was put on daddy's shoulders and instead making "oooh" and "aaah" noises at all the lamps in the lighting section!

Weather was miserable so when we got back, we decided to stay in and do a bit of painting! Controlled painting we thought, but think we need to put him in his high chair next time, cause we had to chase him to avoid stains on the whole flat and then put him in the bathroom sink to be washed!

New shoes!

Mum asked me the other day if George's shoes were too small. Not sure I said, even though I'd been thinking the same myself... She said he didn't really want to put them on! Bless! So, today we went to shop for new shoes, and yes, he is one size up from the shoes he's got so last minute really!

He's now a proud size 23, and from the pic you can see he got to try two different shoes on. Looked hilarious, the sole on one of the shoes was a lot higher so he walked around the shop with HUGE steps, lifting his right foot higher than the left! Something for Monty Pythons Ministry of Silly Walks definately!

George the Russian!

Bowling according to Master George

On Friday, before he got ill again... A bad cold with big green boogies yessurri! Followed by a horrible cough, which he's still got poor bugger. Anyway. Before the cold hit him like a sledge hammer, he showed off his skills with the bowling pins. And notice he's not using a ball, it's much quicker if you just walk up to them and wham! Matt told me he's a right-footer too... Apparently men notice these things...

Picasso in da house!

Oh yes, our first wall painting! Thank you very much! Let me also add that we didn't see him doing it...

Vasaparken

Guess what we discovered the other week! The brilliant park at the bottom of our road has an indoor space which you can go to and let your kiddies play! Great! And so we've taken Gman there a couple of times since he gets seriously bored just being around us. Matt and him were there the other day and George got up to his usual tricks!

Kulturhuset

Let's see, what's happened? Well, we spent last Saturday at Kulturhuset, where they have some brilliant rooms to which you can bring your children to play! It's open everyday and a great way to get George to let off some steam. He loves it!

And daddy Matt was sat there minding his own business... But no, he was sat at the dinner table so he had to have some dinner... And soon he had lots of little guests at his table haha!
