Bug bugaroo

So, think he's got a stomach bug again. He's been really clingy today and as you know, he's not eating brilliantly at the moment. However, today I tried a new trick, mouth-to-mouth-feeding! No, it's not wierd, birds do it! And it worked too! The boy ate! Basically what I did was to put a bit of orange in my mouth and give to him. He thought it was hilarious, so I did it again. After three bits he realised the orange was yummy and not just funny so he asked for more and then I gave him pieces on a plate! Voila!

And then he ate his food too! But. Almost finished, it comes back up again! And the orange bits! He's had very runny nappies since last night too, so started fearing the worst... And then he projectiled the välling allover me, Matt and the sofa, so yes, think you can say he's got a stomach bug! Bugger (haha, not funny really...). He was in a right chirpy mood before he went to bed though, so doesn't seem to affect him too much, just hoping he'll be able to keep the morning bottle. Will keep you updated.

Drive-through Supermarket

Went food shopping this morning with Thessan and Frank. Boring for the kids... Lucky us they had a car attached to the trolley! Success, as you can see from the pics, they where moving around, really busy steering and honking, I couldn't get at clear shot! George got a couple of scratches from Frank too, boys playing it rough haha!

Dagis!

This morning we went to have a look at Gman's dagis (nursery), where he'll be starting mid-March. It looked really nice, staff was very welcoming, the rooms were small but cosy and lots of activities for the kids! Sure it will be perfect! We'll be having a look at another one too, but this one is really close to home aswell so we'll see...

There was another little boy there at the same time, Alexander, who will be starting at the same time as George. They had the same coats on! And the same hats! What are the odds! Future bestest pals?!

Ball pit with daddy

On Wednesday, little mr G, daddy, Kiwi and little Stella went to a playland where they had lots of fun stuff for the little kiddies! However, don't know if it's got something to do with food refusal (yep, not much other than välling passing through the lips of little Gman at moment) and therefore tiredness, or the 'middle-of-the-night' wakings (the last three nights now, around 3ish for an hour or so...) and therefore tiredness... but either way, George was apparently not too impressed by the ball pits. In fact a little scared Matt said. Bless! Seemed like a great place though! Will definately be returning!

Airport at Christmas

Found this pic on my phone. George is enjoying the ride on dad's shoulders, as Matt is off to say hello to a friend who turned out not to be a friend...

Aah..

George has recently taken a real interest in the ABC and Numbers posters! Which is great, cause it means they work! He wants to be lifted up to look and point at them all the time! This morning, the photograph of his absent dad caught his eye too... We miss you babe, can't wait for you to come home to us.

Hyper George

George was sooo funny today! Say no more, just look at the film!

Snip snip

Mum decided it was time for a haircut, she thinks it looked like I'd got a helmet on my head. So she plonked me in the bathroom sink and cut my hair. I was really curious and tried to see what she was doing all the time, so she gave me a comb and her mobile which was fun to play with so she could finish the cut!

Hello folks!

A little update, it's been a while, sorry about that, but mum says it's boring to take pictures of me in the dark all the time (it still gets dark very early here in Sweden)... I've shaped up big time, not whining much at all now, a real sunshine as usual actually! Thought it was time to give mum and dad a break, they are trying, even though not so hard as farmor and mormor, but they do get down on the floor and let me put all my toys in my little ruck sack, and that's so much fun! Then daddy turns it upside down and we start allover again!

Dad is by the way gone for a week or so (not that I know what a week is, but mum said so). He's taken a trip to a place called Dubai where they have buildings that look like palm trees. It is very hot there and lots of sand. I look at dad's picture several times a day and call out 'pappa', but he doesn't reply. I miss him, he's been very good to me lately and really likes when I call him pappa, so I do that quite a lot to please him!

Yesterday me and mum went to play in the park and we found Nellie! Nellie's been lost for a couple of days, I threw him out when he was being a little annoying and dad didn't see it. Luckily, some nice person found him and gave him to the park people so I could have him back! Oh, how lovely it was to see him! I hugged him really hard and gave him a good squeeze!

And then we went to play with Nils and Maja for a few hours! It was great to see them, we're such grown ups now! Nils has got lots of hair and Maja has big teeth (mum says I've got big teeth too, but mum's are even bigger, but I never tell her that!)!

Then mormor came to see us in the evening. She will take care of me now when daddy's away and mummy's started working. It will be fun, I will play with her, hide under the table and run away! Then I might hand her all my toys and my food and give her a drink of my water cause I'm a nice guy.

Oh, almost forgot. Me and mum had a lie-in yesterday (I do that quite a lot nowadays), didn't wake up until a quarter to nine (with a short shout at six to get my bottle of course), and this morning I slept until quarter past seven, thought that was pretty good going. Then I stood up with Nellie under my arm and made some huffing and puffing noises to make sure mum heard me being up. She did, and she brought me to mormor who'd been sleeping on the sofa. I got to cuddle up next to her with my välling and we watched the morning news. Great stuff! Then mum went to work and me and mormor will start to play!

Boot camp training

He says mamma. Or ma ma ma ma at least... And he says 'Där' (there) and 'Titta' (look). Yesterday I asked him: Can you say daddy and voila! Hilarious!

ps. The film carries on for a while, think he got more interested in the camera, but just now when I transferred the film from the camera to the computer, he was sat watching and said 'pappa' ha ha

Whiiiiiney boy

Ok, so we have a whiiiiiney boy at the moment. He spends quite a lot of his day whining, it's very annoying. It might have something to do with the fact that he hasn't got his farmor and aunties and uncles here to entertain him, or little friends to play with (and it's absolutely freezing outside which makes it not so nice to be out), but either way, having him hanging around my ancles is quite draining. Think I remember a similar scenario after our last visit to England, but not sure.

He's got quite a cold now too. And had high fever the night after new year. Think it's tooth No 6, but I'm probably wrong... The only good thing about him waking in the night (ok, slept through last night, but the two previous nights) is that he seems to want a lie-in in the morning! How great is that! After the morning välling, he goes back to sleep for a couple of hours! Brilliant! This morning we didn't get up until nine and that was without night wakenings! Is he a pre-teenager already?

A happy new year's eve!

Spent a GREAT new year's eve with nephew Danne and his girlfriend Tessan, their kids, George's pysslingar, Frank and Liam, and my old bestie Petra. Cooked some amazing food – jerusalem artichoke soup (jordärtskockssoppa) with blinis for starter. Beef Wellington (smördegsinbakad oxfilé) with yummy mash for main and a gorgeous chocolate parfait with a caramel and nut biscuit and peach chutney! All of it fit for a king!

George was a little star too, didn't protest much when it was bedtime and was then quiet until the morning, apart from one little shout before midnight. The new year, and most of the evening actually, was greeted with some bubbly, and Matt and Danne entertained with their dancing.

The funny blue goggles are part of head gear which vibrates when you aim and shoot at it with a plastic gun. Belongs to Liam, but was a lot of fun at three in the morning!

New year's day was spent on the sofa mostly, after a deliscious brunch. The kids were well behaved, maybe they understood it was the time to be nice to parents with heavy heads...

Tack Danne, Tessan och Petra för ett super nyår!
