England skills

We're having a lovely time over here, unfortunately, Matt needs to restore all programs on his laptop, so can't post any pics yet, but, B I G news - Billy Finn just turned from his back to his tummy, without getting his arm stuck! Well done to our little chap!

George is loving it here with all the attention of course, and his English is improving fast!

Like father like son

Chilling at Boobadet yesterday.

New crop

For the second time in his life, we took G-man to the hairdressers. We like the result! Short, but nice. And G likes it too. This morning he looked in the mirror and cried: I look handsome! (Stilig var ordet han använde på svenska!)

Pattern phase

Apparently, Billy Finn is in a phase which involves recognising nuances and patterns in his everyday life. He's been a little reluctant in being left alone for a while, and he's not been laughing loud either. But the other day, it all changed again, and he's a happy chappy on his lovely blanket (by auntie Laura of course) and he is a real chatterbox too, oohing and aaahing and laughing! Great stuff!

Pizza planet

Today, George built up Pizza Planet town on the porch. I asked if they sold yummy pizzas there? Yes, pizzas and planets. Workshop truck Mac was out too, giving the cars a good wash.

George is so imaginative at the moment and have been for a while. He makes stories up as he talks which is really funny, often involving crocodiles or Star Wars...

In Trosa visiting morfar

Yesterday, me and the boys went to Trosa to see morfar! The sun was out and we had a really lovely day! Started off with a coffee at morfar's house and admired his new H U G E 3D television. Boring to talk about a tv, but the picture is amazing! George watched Madagaskar and it felt as though we were inside the film (and that was without the 3D function!).

We then strolled (George on his bike) down through town and dad treated us to lunch at 'Fyren' (The lighthouse). Nice. There was a new playground in the harbour which got G's big approval. On the way back we walked along the canal. I never get tired of this beautiful place!

Both my boys behaved like little champs all day, and when I got back, the third man in my life had cleaned the house! Nice!

Skype with farfar

Billy 'Big eyes' Finn paid a lot of attention to the screen...

Swimmingly George!

It only takes someone else to go in the water for George to want to follow! Unfortunately, since Matt's English and doesn't like swimming (...) and I don't like my 'just-gave-birth-body', he hasn't had the chance more than one time this summer (it was too hot for me to care so in we went!). Luckily, last Saturday, good old Petra who is half woman half fish, chucked him about in the water and made him ask for more! It was great to watch!

We had a lovely day and Petra stayed for tacos dinner! Or, bolognese boats as G called them!

A very small hat

The other Friday, we went to a really cool American car show with Josefin, Jesper, Alfred and Herman. The pics are on Matt's computer, so will post them here when I get my hands on them, but the night before, I made a sun hat for Billy Finn... Which turned out to be a tad too small haha!

Made him a new one which fits though!

Little Lucas!

We had fine friends over for dinner last Sunday - Kim, Cissi and their little Lucas, five months. He's a spitting image of his dad and laughs at you if you stick your tongue out!

Flea market find

No, not really, I wish, but we did find some nice frames (and was photographed by a "Women's weekly" type magazine - Hemmets Journal) and then went for a lovely lunch at Koloni in Saltsjö-Duvnäs, and found this beauty parked outside.

Outdoor bath

When it's boiling hot outside, George likes to have his bath outside...

Outdoor eating

We never seem to get round to buying outdoor furniture, even though the very kind Mrs Bakk (my mum of course) has offered to sponsor us...

But when the girls were here, we couldn't resist putting up a discarded desk table top and some old chairs and have a nice bbq dinner outside in the evening sun!

Gröna Lund adventure!

Last weekend, auntie Jo Jo and Laura came to spend some time with us! George was over the moon of course. We had a nice coffee at Urban Deli, then went pass the gallery to show the girls. On Sunday, we took George to Gröna Lund for the first time. He loved it! And so did we! It rained and then the sun came out, then it rained again, then the sun came out... Matt and Jo went on this crazy ride called 'Insane', then dared me and Laura to go on it... Laura said yes 'cause I said yes, and I said yes 'cause Laura said yes...

Crazy... I was so scared I closed my eyes as we reached the top of the ride, and kept them closed for most of it, apart from opening them briefly, shouting to Laura "Are we upside down? I think we're upside down!!!" We were upside down. Holy canolly, won't do that ever again!

Glad midsommar!

We spent a lovely day (with nice weather!) at Josefin and Jesper's. Lovely lunch with spuds cleaned by the high pressure water hose, all kinds of sill, my superb (yes) västerbottenpaj and beer and snaps. George munched hot dogs and Alfred ate sill!

In the afternoon, me and Josefin walked down with the mini boys to this place where they held midsummer celebrations. The big boys and the small boys waited for the tractor with trailer to come and pick them up and give them a lift down. A lady was playing the accordian for everyone on board!

We found a nice spot in the shade where we had our coffee and Matt's superb (of course) lemon tart with strawberries! Then we had a bit of a dance around the midsummer pole and me and George entered the sack hopping competition. A natural my son!

Ventured back slowly to Josefin and Jesper's and chilled for a couple of hours. For dinner we had bbq'd lamb racks and potatoe and veg salad! It was deliscious! The small boys had meatball and sausage skewers. And finally, to end the lovely eating feast, we had Matt's superb (surprised?) chocolate tiramisu!

Quite nice that we decided to walk home, we were so full up. It took us just under one hour, Billy Finn asleep the whole way and George nodding off as we walked. A very nice midsummer celebrations indeed!
