Also known as Bangkok. It was hot hot hot... And no breeze... And eveything was no no no for poor George, but the traffic was mental and there was no way we would let him run free. Had a nice couple of days still, and some of the best food of the whole trip, but next time we'll skip it and stay another couple of days on the beach.
Our very posh hotel room which had a huge lounge and a massive bedroom with onsuite bathroom with both shower and bathtub!
View from hotel room.
Enjoyed some amazing food whilst George was sweatingly snoozing away in the push chair. It was one of the only nights he slept early actually, and we had quite a few beers to celebrate haha!
This place offered us to taste chicken hearts. It tasted a little bit like chicken. We celebrated with a beer.
After being cultural we sat down on a street market for some strawberries, Pad Thai, and some deep fried grasshoppers (!) which Matt tried and said they tasted like chicken...
We also did some cultural stuff... Visiting the Grand Palace for instance. It was very grand.
We wondered around the big shopping center MBK for hours! One whole floor was dedicated to mobile phones and mobile phone accessories...
And of course, no visit to Bangkok is complete without a visit to the neighborhoods of Khao San Road (the backpacker street), where coloured lights lure you in to pay ridiculous prices for beer and nasty food. However, good for people watching!
