Move went well, Matt and Andy were brilliant and very strong - carrying furniture up five floors is a job for real men! Hear hear! Some broken glasses as it should be, but otherwise it all went well. I managed to stress Matt and Leila to help me remove the last traces of the owner of the flat - typical bachelor stuff - horrible cheap bits of furniture a la 90s, and some nasty vases with the obligatory dried up flowers 'for a more homely look'... Yuck!
We're obviously not completely done with the unpacking, as soon as little monkey came home, all focus on him as usual. But most things are in place and it looks really nice! We like! The flat's really really light too, so that's good. Makes a change from the old flat which was light at certain times a day in different rooms...
Little Mr G has had to stay at home from dagis again due to his stomach being crap, again. A little annoying since he's in good spirits and nothing else's wrong with him, but can understand dagis if they think it's a stomach bug. I suspect he might be lactose intolerant or something so no dairy products or fibre stuff and I'll book an appointment with the doctor to make sure.
Other than that the little champ has adapted really well! He seems to love the new place too! The kitchen is just next to the lounge and I notice the difference in him, when he knows we're just around the corner, rather than up the step and across the hallway... And, he's got his own space! Good for us, good for him! And he only woke up a couple of times the first night and has since then slept through. Wakes up v e r y early though, around five thirty (this morning six), but don't really mind in the spring, so light and lovely at that time anyhow. Only issue is he then gets quite tired before lunch at dagis... Which is now going extremely well too! There was a visible change in him about ten days ago and since then the staff say he's been a lot more relaxed and happy. I think it could have something to do with the fact that it's not as cold outside anymore too... On Monday when Matt left him, he didn't cry at all! He was just busy digging in the sand pit!
Will update with pics of new flat shortly. Tomorrow we will meet with the guy who's moving into our old place and give him the keys. A little sad, but life goes on. And then it's Valborg, Bonfire night here. We're going Jonas and Annika's, it will be great! Hoping cute little menace John John won't snatch all toys from G this time haha!
The everyday life of the Leach Squire household, happiness and mayhem combined.

Lazy, but not really...
Sorry, haven't updated for ages, but we've been soooo busy with moving out, moving in, sorting things out for the house, working, chasing rats, chasing George... George's had another tooth (a biggie!), liking it at dagis most days, sleeping well again (thank god, and actually slept ok last night too, first day in new flat).
Spring's here, weather's been gorgeous! Not that we've noticed since we've been busy, but like true Swede-style are people starting to bronze.
Pics and more updates to follow soon!

Much better today!
Little Mr G has been feeling a lot better today! Been very chirpy and fun as usual, and seemed to get his appetite back a little too. Nice. This film is from two days ago, can't tell he's quite ill here, he seems to choose his moments kind of...

Poorly
Little man is very poorly, hasn't eaten much this weekend and when he finally ate some fish yesterday afternoon, it came back up together with his välling in bed... Two midnight changes and another cascade of välling this morning. So he is in need of plenty of water and cuddles, no dagis for the next couple of days.
Matt just sent me this picture, took little chimp to work and he's sleeping in an office chair...

Gustavsberg in the sunshine
Auntie Laura arrived this morning and we had a yummy pancake breakfast at Sirap before heading out to Gustavsberg and all it's ceramics outlets and artist's studios. Some amazing stuff! There was also an exhibition on, which gave me and Matt some inspiration for our tiled open fire place in our house!
skiing
Whilst George was at mormors with a sore and runny bottom (poor bugger, and poor mormor too), mum and dad and uncle Timmo enjoyed sunshine and empty slopes at Romme Alpin!
Glorious, even though must admit snow was a little wet and heavy. Tim did really well on his snowboard (apart from when, as a true English not being used to snow, found himself stuck in a hole...), Matt and myself managed to work on the tan (needed don't you think!) a little too! All in all a very nice day!
